German mountain biker Harald Philipp rode down a fixed-rope climbing route known as a via ferrata (Italian for “iron way”) in the Brenta Dolomites range of the Italian Alps. He hiked one of Outside’s 20 most dangerous hikes with his bike on his back before descending. Two friends joined him for segments of the ride, much of which trailed along sheer cliff.
“I honestly don’t want to do this ride again,” Philipp wrote in the description of the video. “It’s stupidly dangerous, feels triple as exposed as it looks.”
