Seattle women’s running apparel company Oiselle opened its first store in the city’s University Village neighborhood on Thursday, according to a press release. Founder Sally Bergesen was in attendance, as were Oiselle-sponsored athletes Kara Goucher and Lauren Fleshman.

“We want to support our running community,” Goucher told Outside, “and having a place for people to gather is important.”

Founded in 2007, Oiselle achieved sales of $10 million in 2014, with “a hundred percent growth rate every year for the past four years,” according to Bergesen. Check out our related story about how boutique brands like Oiselle are luring talent away from titan sponsors like Nike.
