American Rivers elected Jimmy Kimmel to its board of directors earlier this month, according to a press release from the nonprofit river conservation organization.
Kimmel, the host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, is an experienced fly-fisherman and regularly visits Montana and Idaho to fish his favorite streams. He was also featured on the Outdoor Channel series Buccaneers and Bones, in which he bonefished in the Caribbean.
“I am thrilled to join the board of directors of American Rivers,” Kimmel said in the release. “As an avid fly-fisherman, I look forward to working with this great organization to protect wild rivers, restore damaged rivers, and conserve clean water.”
