Closca Fuga Collapsible Bike Helmet
An ultra-portable, super-safe commuter lid
Some commuters refuse to wear a helmet because they claim the lids are a pain to store when not in use. Spanish company Closca Design just obliterated that excuse with the Fuga.
This foldable helmet, made of three hard shell sections connected by plastic and elastic bands, collapses down to half the size for easy storage. And when you're using the helmet, the spaces between the hard shell double as vents. Closca also offers accessories including removable visors.
Okay, a collapsible head protector sounds totally unsafe, but fear not: the Fuga meets both American and European safety standards.
