The Birdhouse Retreat
322 square feet of avian-inspired luxury
As the country begins to reopen, we'll keep publishing news to help you navigate the state of travel today (like whether travel insurance covers the coronavirus), as well as stories about places for you to put on your bucket list once it's safe to start going more far-flung.
We’ve seen plenty of luxury tree houses, but never a luxury, human-size birdhouse.
Located southwest of London, this structure looks like a place where you feed Blue Jays thanks to the pitched roof and circular front window, but inside there's 322 square feet of floor space, plus high, vaulted ceilings.
There’s also plenty of rustic charm, with a living area packed full of handmade furniture and wood paneling that came from the former huts of British soldiers.
$380 for two nights, thebirdhouse.com
