You’ll soon be able to buy a brand new, old-school DeLorean.
Thanks to the recent Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act, the Texas-based car company will be able to build a limited number of replicas, starting in 2017. These new cars will look about the same as their predecessor—with the gull-wing doors—but they'll be built around newer, emissions-certified engines (stipulated by the law). Buyers will also get modern electronics. No word yet on flux capacitors.
