The Altra Lone Peak 3.5 Is Currently 41 Percent Off

In our humble opinion, it’s one of the best trail runners ever made.

We’ll admit Altra shoes look a little silly, but damn if they don’t work well. The Lone Peak, which is one of the most popular models and the number-one choice of shoe for thru-hikers, is currently 41 percent off at REI.

For the unfamiliar, what sets Altras apart from other shoes is their zero-drop design, which keeps the heel and forefoot on the same plane and allows for a natural foot strike. Meanwhile, their anatomically shaped toe box provides a wide platform and extra grip on the ground and doesn’t cramp your digits. If you’re an Altra believer, stock up while they’re cheap, and if you haven’t tried them before, we strongly advise you to pick up a pair.
