The Ariel AG 55 won our women’s backpack test. The Manta AG 36 remains relatively unchanged from when we featured it in our 2016 Summer Buyer’s Guide. And that’s a good thing. It boasts Osprey’s signature mesh back panel, which allows for excellent airflow, and testers appreciated its seemingly endless ability to carry copious amounts of gear. They wrote, “With a cavernous main compartment, two exterior pockets, and a stuff pouch, the Manta can swallow enormous quantities of gear, ballooning outward for day trips or even spare overnighters.”
