Jack Johnson has just released a video for “Big Sur,” a song from his latest album, All the Light Above It Too, which he put out in September. The singer-songwriter, who attended college at U.C. Santa Barbara, told Outside that the area around Big Sur is one of his favorite places for family camping trips. The song and video are about “driving away from all these things we can’t avoid,” he says. “Taking off with your best friends to a place where you can get into those endless conversations that only ever stop because you have to go to sleep.”
Earlier this year, we spoke to Johnson about his new album for an episode of the Outside Podcast. You can listen to that conversation here.
