“The Way Back,” a movie depicting the supposedly-true escape and journey of seven prisoners from a Soviet gulag, goes to wide release this weekend. In limited release last weekend, the film garnered mostly positive reviews, receiving a 77 percent “Fresh” rating from Rotten Tomatoes.
But, the film does come with some questions, such as: did this journey even happen? And if so, to whom? Check out this blog post, to read about some guys who think they know the answers.
In our critique, Ian Frazier gives the film a scathing review, mostly to do with its believability (or lack thereof). But we'll leave it up to you to decide. Let us know what you think below.
