The Hood to Coast relay, a 197-mile relay run from 6,000 feet up Oregon's Mt. Hood to the town of Seaside, starts tomorrow. Over its 28-year history the amateur friendly “race” has developed into a slice of outdoor Americana. As one participant puts it, “It's really like Woodstock moving down a road.” But if you want to take part next year, register on opening day, which is when Hood to Coast's 12,000 runner quota has been met for the past 12 years. To see why, check out this trailer to the Hood to Coast Movie. The film will be in theaters in January 2011.
