The holidays are already upon us. Most people are preparing their gift lists. But have you thought about which stocking stuffers you’ll snag for your loved ones? From body scrubs and masks to insulated jars and recovery tools, here are our editors’ favorite stocking stuffers, categorized by skincare, beauty, recovery, and outdoor gear products to make shopping stress-free.
Nothing says “prepping for the new year” like glowing, hydrated skin. Here are our favorite skincare products.

I’ve been using this scrub for a few weeks, and my skin is softer and glowier than it’s ever been. While it may seem counterintuitive to exfoliate in the colder months, doing so really transforms your skin. Exfoliating helps your other moisturizers, SPFs, and serums absorb more effectively into the skin and seals in moisture. It’s cruelty-free, vegan, and free of gluten and parabens. As a bonus, there’s no added fragrance, which is excellent for people with sensitive skin or those who are sensitive to strong scents. I also really like that the granules are super tiny, so it doesn’t feel like I’m dragging concrete across my body. Exfoliating shouldn’t hurt, and the fine particles remove dead skin sans pain. If someone you know is planning on a multitude of outdoor winter adventures, this would be a great addition to their stocking. They’ll not only get smooth skin, but their skin will stay plump and ultra-hydrated all winter long.

This facial spray is one of my favorite midday pick-me-ups. I keep it in the fridge, which not only keeps it at a cool and refreshing temperature but reminds me to actually use this skincare product throughout the day (i.e., when I’m scouring the fridge for food). The aloe and cucumber scent is my fave. It’s a spa-like scent that makes my skin feel more supple and hydrated after use, which is especially helpful when I don’t have time for my full moisturizing ritual before starting the day. I simply close my eyes, spritz, and walk away feeling revamped.

Gift your loved ones with an exhilarating self-care reset with our handpicked beauty products and tools.

As someone who needs to constantly keep their nails painted to avoid biting them when anxiety or boredom strikes, I’m a huge fan of anything that keeps my nails strong and healthy—and tasting bad. While the island coconut scent of this cream is appealing to the nose, biting your nails with this on is less than appetizing. Not only will the shea butter, silk protein, vitamin E, and jojoba oil make your nails rock hard and cuticles soft with consistent use, but it’ll also deter you from biting. I massage the cream into my nails and cuticles every night as I wind down for bed. It can also be used over polish. I love how much stronger my nails have gotten over time, and when I’m lifting weights at the gym, I’m much less afraid that grabbing a weight the wrong way will crack a nail. For the gym-goers and habitual nail-biters in your life, this is an essential gift.

I first became interested in lymphatic drainage when Instagram told me to. Over time, however, I realized that when I gua sha’d and/or used a jade roller on my face consistently in the mornings, I saw a visible reduction in puffiness in my cheeks and around my jawline. However, the aesthetic reasons aren’t even a consideration for me anymore, because I love how gua sha’ing feels in the morning to wake me up or at night to wind me down. The cool feel of the jade against my skin is soothing and relaxing—and more of a mindfulness practice than anything. This is a pretty inexpensive set that’s held up for almost a year now, compared to another brand I bought previously, which rusted within a couple of months.

I’ve been using eye masks since I turned 30, but only recently tried a steam eye mask, and let me tell you—I am hooked. There are many great brands out there providing warmth and rejuvenation to the most sensitive area on our face, but I love the green tea mask (for morning use) and chamomile mask (for nighttime use) by Body Restore. Once on, the masks are air-activated, promoting blood circulation and reducing dryness around the eyes. The heat masks can last up to 30 minutes. I find this to be in sync with the amount of time I need to wind down before drifting off to sleep.

For the active people in your life, they’ll love the chance to ease sore muscles and speed up healing after an intense gym session or action-packed outdoor adventure.

Nothing says “I love you” quite like an all-expenses-paid trip to chill out for a few hours. My wife and I rarely get any time to hang out with each other, due to our conflicting work schedules and the demands of parenting. So, I recently got us two tickets to The Dragontree Sanctuary in Boulder, Colorado (they have another location in Portland, Oregon, but any local spa will do!) for some time to connect and relax. The spa features three different cold plunges, a spacious hot tub, a cedar sauna, a salt room, and a steam room. You can also book a massage and ayurvedic treatments there. But a semi-regular break to experience cold, warm, and cozy every now and then is a gift like no other.

After a long day of work and mommy duties, I love placing a steamer on my shower floor. My favorite scent? Milk Honey, from Body Restore. I don’t always have the time to soak in the tub with a bath bomb like years past. Luckily, there’s a way to bring that type of comfort and ease to the shower. All you have to do is place the steamer on the shower floor away from the direct stream and drain, take deep breaths, and feel your muscles relax. Body Restore has multiple aromatherapy shower melt scents, all made with natural essential oils.

I’m pretty obsessed with sauna life, so beyond a gift certificate to one of my favorite saunas in New York, like Othership (the sound baths here are such a treat), I want a sauna hat. A hat to be worn inside the sauna? For the uninitiated, these hats, typically made of natural wool felt, prevent you from overheating and also protect your hair from the intense heat (my curly locs thank me). The hats allow your body to heat up more gradually and keep sweat from dripping into your eyes, too. And these hats honor the culture of sauna, which I love. While you see these hats worn in saunas all over the world now (Seth Rogen sported this ”sauna boss” one in the film Good Fortune), the traditional hat’s origins date back to Finland and Russia.

The combination of working from home and playing tennis several times a week means my shoulders have taken up residence right below my earlobes, and spoiler alert, that’s not great. I’m asking—no, begging—someone who loves me to gift me one of the new TheraCup devices and ease my hunched posture once and for all. The TheraCup combines heat, vibration, and suction for targeted pain relief, at a price point that’s not much more than what I’d spend for a single massage in Chicago. Even better? It’s much more portable than a foam roller, fitting perfectly in the palm of your hand (or my stocking, hint, hint).

The last thing anyone wants to deal with on an outdoor adventure is losing items or not knowing where all their valuables and go-to items are. You can solve that issue for your friends and family with this gear.

I already have and love the Dagne Dover Landon Carryall (and use it every time I travel), and as much as I love a good hydration vest, some walks call for something a little more grab-and-go. Enter this crossbody sling, which made my list thanks to its many nooks and storage crannies, and the many water bottles it could hold. I like the idea of keeping it filled with dog poop bags and treats, slipping in my phone and a squeeze bottle full of Gatorade, and hitting the trail.

With two little kids and a hungry teen, snacks are a must on any hike, road trip, or adventure to keep everyone fueled and motivated. The smallest size of Yeti’s food jars is perfect for berries, oatmeal, or even a tiny tub of my family’s favorite: ramen. It’s small enough that it doesn’t take up much real estate in a pack, and it’s totally leak-proof, so I don’t ever worry about unzipping to a mess. When we get home, I just throw it in the dishwasher. Easy!
