The watch used during Sir Roger Bannister’s record-breaking four-minute mile sold to an anonymous buyer for 20,000 British pounds (roughly $31,084) earlier this week, Oxford Mail reported Tuesday. The watch was expected to sell for between $7,500 and $12,500. Bannister’s shoes will go up for auction in September and are expected to sell for approximately $80,000.
