Lance Armstrong finished third in the 2010 Tour of Luxembourg, Roadcycling.com reports. The race, won by Italian Matteo Carrara, was part of Armstrong's preparations for the upcoming 2010 Tour de France.
Armstrong, a seven-time Tour de France Champion, crashed and landed in the emergency room last month in the Tour of California, hours after allegations of doping surfaced from fellow cyclist Floyd Landis.
Of his third place, Armstrong told reporters he was being cautious. “I just wanted to avoid issues, or problems, or crashes,” he said.
He will race next at the Tour de Switzerland in mid-June.
