On February 2nd, 2011, Dennis Urubko, Simone Moro, and Cory Richards made mountaineering history when they summited Pakistan’s 8,000 meter Gasherbrum II in winter. They got lost on the mountain’s upper slopes during a whiteout, were hit by an avalanche, and fell into a crevasse on the descent. The film won Grand Prize at Banff Film Festival and the Five Point Film Festival and was selected for the Charlie Fowler award at Telluride Mountainfilm.
