Image

An oil rig 150 miles off the northwest coast of Australia, which has been leaking an estimated 400 barrels of oil a day since Aug. 21, has now caught fire, according to msnbc. Rig operator, PTTEP Australasia, claims it does not know how the fire started.

Australian officials say that their primary focus is containing the spill and, now the blaze. An official inquiry into who is responsible for the spill will happen once it is brought under control.
