Bode Miller is Back!
Bode Miller, the 32-year old ski racer known as the best American alpine ski racer of all time, signed a contract to become a member of the U.S. Ski Team once again, the AP reports. Just this past April, Miller was pondering retirement, citing differences the US Ski Team's philosophies and his own.
Miller parted from the U.S. Ski Team in 2007 to ski independently for two seasons before rejoining the team in Oct. 2009. He credited his success at this year's winter Olympics to the time he spent away from the U.S. squad. (Miller famously flopped at the 2006 Turin Olympics, winning no medals.)
Miller has won five medals in the winter Olympics (one gold, three siver, and one bronze), and 32 World Cups. Click here to read our brief history of Miller's athletic accomplishments.
