Canadian downhill skier John Kucera may miss the Vancouver Olympics, thanks to a high-speed fall on Sunday, reports Reuters. Kucera, 25, was considered one of Canada's top medal hopefuls. The accident occurred during the season-opening World Cup super-G, which was won by his teammate, Manuel Osbourne-Paradis. Kucera fractured his leg and will need surgery; no comment has been made whether or not he will be able to compete in the Winter Games.
