Nissan and Japan's Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have put their heads together to try to come up with a pair of ski-less skis, SKI magazine reports. The design features boards that are short and have wheels as well as sensors to detect a shift in weight for when you want to turn, like on a Segway. Poles will be attached to the boards.
It's unclear where you'll be able to ski with those, but as for the old-school stuff, you can happily rip them up here.
