US Snowboarding Unveils 2011 World Championship Team

U.S. Snowboarding has announced its team for the 2011 World Championships in La Molina, Spain, according to TransWorld Snowboarding. Leading the team of 21 athletes are three Olympians: Seth Wescott, Olympic gold medalist in 2006 and 2010 and World Champion in 2005; Lindsey Jacobellis, Olympic silver medalist in 2006 and two-time World Champion; and Nate Holland, six-time X Games gold medalist and bronze medalist at the 2007 World Championships.
The 2011 World Championships will run from January 15 through January 22. For more information and a calendar of events, check out the FIS Web site. The International Ski Federation (FIS) oversees Olympic and many non-Olympic ski sports and was founded in 1924 in Chamonix, France.
