Technology giant, Apple, may be going after the cycling market next. The US Patent and Trademark office released Apple's plans to build a “Smart Bicycle System” on Friday, the Huffington Post reports.
The bike would integrate iPhone and iPod technology, measuring speed, distance, time on the bike, altitude, elevation, incline, heart rate, temperature, and weather, among other features. The bike would also have built-in Wi-Fi, audio and even video, possibly allowing team members to communicate with each other while racing.
No word yet on how much the bike will cost or how much it will weigh. Click here for more details from Wired.
