A TINY SUMMERWEIGHT BAG

The North Face claims that its revamped line of Flight Series bags are the first synthetic sacks to rival equivalently rated down bags in weight and compressibility. We were skeptical, but this 40-degree comes pretty darn close. The secret?
It’s stuffed with Climashield’s newest stuff, dubbed Neo, which is lighter and loftier—and, on humid nights, more breathable—than previous iterations. The North Face also saves weight by wrapping the bag in an ultralight fabric and ditching any excess material. Looking for something warmer? The zero-degree Pyxis and 20-degree Orion are stuffed with the same stuff. 40°, 2 lbs; thenorthface.com
