Timberland Endurion – Trail Runners: Review

If you train like a mailman—neither rain nor sleet will stop you—reach for these submersibles. The seamless upper is sealed with a Gore-Tex XCR liner and reinforced with a see-through TPU rand, which toughens the shoe without marring its clean look. The masochists among our crew raced up Colorado’s groomed ski hills in the dead of winter and dubbed the Endurion impervious to the sloppiest conditions. A stiff plate and firm cushioning help the Endurion excel on steeps.
Bonus: Narrow-footed runners get a sleek fit with good arch support.
Bummer: The starred lug pattern isn’t as grippy as the best tread we tested. 14 oz; www.timberland.com
