Budding action auteurs don’t have to settle for dark, poorly lit GoPro edits anymore.
With help from a successful Kickstarter campaign, Light & Motion has launched the Sidekick, a 600-lumen, self-contained light that attaches to any GoPro mount. The company says the Cree XM-L U2 LED is designed to brighten low-light and backlit settings, greatly enhancing the footage.
An 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery powers the Sidekick for up to four hours on a single charge, while also helping keep the unit’s overall weight low at 123 grams. The Sidekick is waterproof down to 200 feet, with accessories designed specifically for aquatic activities.
