Using the underwater pedal-powered flippers and knob-controlled rudder, you can propel the Mirage across the lake hands-free so you can fish, shoot pics, sip a drink. Prefer to paddle? The flippers remove in a snap (OK, the press of a button) and you're free to paddle it like a canoe or kayak—the included paddle goes both ways. Yes, it's heavy, but it's also dock-stable for standing, even with a child casting from the stern. Copious storage compartments hold extra rods, tackle boxes, and more fishing accessories—like downriggers and fish finders—than we knew existed. Bonus: Need to cover more terrain? Add Hobie's sail kit ($320). 13'8″, 138 lbs (fully rigged minus sail); hobiecat.com
