SMOOTH AND STEADY
Liquid Logic consulted a flotilla’s worth of southeastern kayak instructors when designing the river-running Remix. The result is a boat that’s about as user-friendly as they come: No edginess, no surprises, and easy to keep upright in squirrely water. And if you do flip? “It’ll literally roll itself, with proper technique,” said one tester. The Remix has the feel of 1990s-era kayaks and brings back the confidence we had in those older boats. It has a wide and comfortable cockpit and holds a laser-straight line in the rapids—sometimes a bit too straight. 8’9″; 59, 69, and 79 gal; liquidlogickayaks.com
