The Ski The East team was reminded of a very important lesson in their latest episode, East Coast Avalanche. They were backcountry skiing in the heart of the Chic Choc Range in Quebec when one of their members triggered a slide. As seasoned backcountry skiers, they knew they were in dangerous terrain and planned accordingly. Downhill skiers were in safe zones, beacons were set to search, and the team's effective communication were pivotal elements to everyone's survival. Find more from Ski The East on Instagram.
