Ability, a film by Anna Wilder Burns and Jordyn Romero, shares the story of Clara Brown, a Team USA para-cyclist and Tokyo 2021 participant. Brown is a lifelong athlete, but her circumstances changed forever at age 12: at gymnastics practice, she suffered a traumatic accident that left her with a broken neck and damaged spinal cord. After years of physical and mental obstacles to regain function, Brown continues to adjust as a walking quadriplegic. Her primary motivation? To become an athlete again.
