Up in the rarified air of the world’s wildest mountains, alpinist Graham Zimmerman has seen the effects of human-driven climate change firsthand: glaciers that have receded, shorter winters, and weather patterns that have turned volatile. As he became increasingly aware of the irreversible damage humans continue to inflict on the planet, Zimmerman was forced to acknowledge that his carbon footprint is also complicit in destroying the outdoor places he loves. In an effort to be part of a solution, he joined Protect Our Winters, an advocacy group, which enlisted him in the fight against climate change. POW’s An Imperfect Advocate, produced by Bedrock Film Works and hosted by Outside TV, follows Zimmerman from his start down the path of advocacy and into an increasingly turbulent world.
