When Alastair Humphreys and the crew at StudioCanoe pushed off from shore, 'work-mode' engulfed the group. Common symptoms of work mode include fidgeting, racing thoughts, and anxiety. Everyone began seeking some sort of stimulation. On the Klarälven River in Sweden, stimulation exists, but it's slow. The methodic flow of the river eventually quieted the group's energies and provided for a peaceful five day float. Follow more from Studiocanoe here and Humphrey's write up here.
