Pro climber Alex Honnold has been a long-time vanlifer. Earlier this year he upgraded from the 2002 Ford Econoline E150 to a 2016 Dodge Ram Promaster, so we sent photographer Max Whittaker to hang out with him in Yosemite and get a peek at his new adventuremobile. Honnold's friend Mason Earle built out the van and included artistic touches like using scrap metal from the Black Diamond factory for cabinet pulls, and etching an image of El Capitan into the van's door. Watch as Honnold gives a tour of the van and talks about the pros and cons of life on the road.
