When Yitka Winn first moved to Colorado, there wasn't really a community of female runners hitting the trails in her area. As she began researching more, she learned about all-female groups popping up in Austin and Kansas City, which inspired her to start one of her own in Carbondale, Colorado. Maroon Belles documents the group's growth and follows them as they take on one particularly gigantic challenge. Find more from filmmaker Michelle Smith on her website and Instagram.
