Upon arriving in northeast Oregon, conservationist Brian Kelly was given two job offers; cook or sheep herder. He spent the next year shepherding a herd of sheep through the landscapes surrounding Hells Canyon. Now, Kelly and the Greater Hells Canyon Council are working to protect the canyon and the Snake river, which flows through it.
