Mountaineer and adventurer Andrew Alexander King is training to become the first Black American athlete to summit all 14 of the world’s eight-thousanders, the term for peaks that are at least 8,000 meters above sea level. But King also has a different, equally ambitious goal: through his work as a brand ambassador for big names in the outdoor industry and his personal racial justice efforts with the Between Worlds Project, he wants to make the outdoor recreation world more diverse and inclusive.
