These are just a few of the images London-based journalist Frank Jacobshas collected on his quirky three-year-old blog, Strange Maps, which has garnered more than 12 million page views. This month Jacobs goes old media with Strange Maps: An Atlas of Cartographic Curiosities(Viking Studio, $30), an exuberant, beautifully illustrated roundup.
