The Federal Trade Commission sent letters to Target, Kmart, Wal-Mart, and 74 other retailers warning that rayon clothing should not be labeled as bamboo, according to Reuters. Rayon is made from the cellulose of any plant and it is often produced using harsh chemicals. Many stores have seen the value in green marketing and labeled rayon as bamboo.
