THE SELL: Ultralight multisport aviators. THE TEST: Maui fronts its gray-green HT tint for lower-light conditions, but these do just fine at sunny midday, popping up color and detail that many shades don’t. The polarized poly lenses also sport gradient mirroring that knocks back glare. Nothing to say about the frames because there aren’t any—just lenses bridged together by a bit of nylon, with thin, tendril-like temples. But, oh, the fit, the comfort. You’ll forget you’re wearing them. Smallish wrap lenses deliver great coverage because they nest close to the eyes. The gray tint is less than optimal for trail sports, but this is real jockwear—even if it doesn’t look the part. The vibe is necktie, not fly rod. THE VERDICT: High quality and amazing comfort.
