Normally, a paddleboard will set you back close to two grand. That’s what makes the NSP so noteworthy: You get the whole package—traction pad, leash, and fins—for about half that. At 31 inches wide and nearly five inches thick, this board has plenty of confidence-building stability and is well suited for flatwater and small waves. Its durable molded-epoxy construction resists dings and makes it 15 pounds lighter than traditional fiberglass boards. Plus, NSP thoughtfully engineered a recessed handhold in the center of the board for ease of carrying. Though our testers found it lacks some of the performance on waves and speed while touring, the NSP is still plenty of board to keep beginning and intermediate SUPers stoked. 10’6″ and 11′; surfindustries.com
