Oh, Kate. Why do you taunt me so? Now I have to think about you wandering around the Camino de Santiago (I assume you will be on pilgrimage trail), munching tasty fried squid tapas and swigging excellent Spanish wines. You are cruel!
Marmot Arete Sleeping Bag

Anyway, a sleeping bag. Youll be inside, so anything good to around five degrees C (41 F) will be fine. At the Gear-Zone.co.uk site, you can find the Snugpak Travelpak Xtreme (50 pounds), a synthetic bag rated to two degrees C, so that gives you a temperature cushion. Weight is 1.1kg (just over two pounds), which isnt bad. Or at Cotswold you can find the Lifeventure Downlight 660 (70 pounds; cotswoldoutdoor.com), which weighs about half as much as the Snugpak bag. Its not quite as warm but is definitely the best choice for light weight and packability.
You also should be able to find a Marmot Arete, a really excellent down bag rated to five degrees C. Price in your area should be around 100 pounds. Weight is about 600 grams.
