A cyclist who was assaulted by two motorists in Sydney, Australia on Saturday has enlisted help from the social news site Reddit in finding his assailants. Chris Moore, 25, was riding down a busy street in Sydney when the driver of a red Mitsubishi started beeping and yelling at him. The passenger threw a battery. “I didn’t do anything to provoke him. I maybe held them up for 15-20 seconds and wasn’t riding that slowly,” Moore wrote. He snapped a photo of the vehicle on his cell phone, although the license plate is covered with a piece of cardboard, before the driver got out and punched him. Police say there is little they can do without a plate number. Commenters have since begun sharing information that might help identify the assailants, including where they last saw the car. As of Tuesday, more than 27,000 people had read Moore’s post.
