Vail Resorts has released a new ski and snowboard gaming app for iPhone, Droid, and Blackberry. Visitors can track and share their time on the slopes through the app via radio chips embedded in their ski passes. Mashable.com has an in-depth review of the new app, called EpicMix. You can also watch the video above to understand how it will work.

Here are a few of the things it will be able to do:

Rewards users with pins for accomplishments like being the first on the chairlift or skiing a lot of vertical feet.

Track where their Facebook friends are at the resorts.

Send messages through the map to organize meet ups.

The app will work across 89 lifts at five resorts—Vail, Beavercreek, Keystone, Heavenly, and Breckeridge—and will launch on Nov. 5 on Keystone Mountain.
