SMART INSULATOR

Like the Gravitor (left), the Prima Fusion is also an insulated hard shell—with a few key differences. First, it’s insulated only in strategic areas along the chest, back, shoulders, and tops of the arms. The uninsulated sides, helmet-compatible hood,
elbows, and pit-zip-equipped underarms make it cooler but significantly more breathable than the Gravitor. Second, the outer fabric is cut from a heavier-weight nylon, making it considerably more abrasion-resistant. What does it all add up to? Testers deemed it the perfect jacket for start-stop activities like snowshoeing or sidecountry skiing. One caveat: The jacket’s fit is baggy and the sizing runs big. 1.9 lbs;
Breathability: 4
Wind/Water Resistance: 4.5
