The Custom’s been a staple board in Burton’s line for 15 years, setting the standard for how a snowboard should ride. Every year, Burton refines it just a little more—and this year’s is the best yet thanks to its mixed-camber profile, a snappy carbon backbone, strands of strategically woven fiberglass for extra pop, and thinner sections of the wooden core underfoot for better board feel. Not surprisingly, this all-mountain directional twin is still a tester favorite. “It’s like that basic white T-shirt you put on when you don’t know what to wear,” said one tester. “You can’t go wrong with it.” And you can go anywhere on the mountain; it’s one of the most versatile boards here.
