In 2015, filmmaker Dan Sadgrove set off on a 5,000-mile road trip from California to Louisiana and back. He avoided interstates as much as possible, opting to drive the back roads. Along the way, Sadgrove read William Least Heat-Moon's Blue Highways: A Journey into America, which inspired the voiceover in this short film about his trip, Last Exit to Elsewhere. You can follow Sadgrove on Instagram here.
