In April, outdoor brand Evo invited six of its community impact partners to Journeyman Lodge in Whistler, British Columbia. Attendees hailed from Zero Ceiling, The Service Board, BelayAll, Inclu-Ski-vity, and Indigenous Women Outdoors. They were there to explore the Callaghan Valley as much as they were to talk about one of the biggest issues in the outdoor industry: inclusivity. While skiing in the backcountry or eating meals together at the dinner table, the team discussed the challenges, especially for underserved and underrepresented communities, in the hopes of working toward a future where the outdoors are accessible for all.
