The documentary Missing 411 chronicles the cases of missing children lost on public lands. This phenomenon has been tracked extensively by author/investigator David Paulides who operates CanAm Missing Project. This segment from the documentary follows survival expert Les Stroud as he attempts to follow the supposed path two-year-old Keith Parkinson took from his barn into the woods where he was eventually found. From the clip you can see Stroud struggle to mimic the path. You can find more info on cases such as this on the film's website.
