It’s tough to summarize Johnnie Jameson’s story. His life has been riddled with hurdles, yet he greets the day with an outlook that would rival the Dalai Lama’s. Like so many others, Jameson found himself struggling to settle into normal life after returning from the Vietnam War, but then he found running. The opportunity to run in the LA Marathon presented itself, and he greeted it with the fortitude. In fact, he even raced it running backward. He has now run in every LA Marathon since the race began, placing him in the Legacy Runner category. Despite all the challenges he faces, he’ll keep running slowly, but surely.
