Meet Arizona’s Rural Street Artist
Chip Thomas didn’t plan on staying in Arizona forever. When he moved there as a National Health Service Corps physician, he was only committed for four years. Now, 32 years later, Chip’s love for the people and the place is what keeps him there—and he’s using that connection to share stories of the region with others. His large-scale roadside murals feature scenes from everyday Navajo life, addressing social and environmental issues, and celebrating the community. Learn more about his mission, click here.
