From filmmaker Greg Balkin, The Wilderness Society, and Patagonia, Welcome to Gwichyaa Zhee shows the Gwich'in people’s battle for food security as an energy project threatens to destroy their way of life. Navajo member and former Department of Energy employee Len Necefer knows all too well the impacts of an energy project near such sensitive and sacred landscapes. The film goes on to connect Necefer's experience with the reduction of Bears Ears and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
