When Samantha Hoy accepted a freelance gig that allowed her to work remotely, she didn't become a regular at the local coffee shop, take up residence in a co-working space, or operate from the comfort of home (and risk cabin fever) like remote workers tend to do. Instead, she and a friend hit the road, traveling 11,000 miles over the course of two months.
